First class rod engineering is the standout feature of the Wally Marshall Classic Signature Series Rods. The premium IM8 blanks, designed to provide the perfect balance of backbone with a light, fast tip, deliver an astoundingly sensitive rod with plenty of strength to drag big slabs out of the deepest cover. The rods feature stainless steel guides and inserts for maximum reliability, as well as lightweight graphite reel seats for added sensitivity. Marshall, a lifelong crappie specialist, worked hand-in-hand with Lew’s® engineers to design the five rods of the Wally Marshall Classic Signature Series. Marshall defines the spinning model as the “workhorse” of the series. It is available in five medium-light sizes, ranging from 5’6” to 7’6” in length. “I use the 5’6” to 7’0” models for my dock shooting,” the Texas pro said. “I turn to the longer spinning lengths for traditional casting, targeting cover and laydowns. Crappie can’t fight the power of The Wally Marshall Classic Signature Series Rods,” says Marshall. The Wally Marshall Classic Signature Series offers both light and medium-light jigging models, available from 7’0” to 12’0”, with the 10’0” and 11’0” models offered with regular or rear reel seats. “Whether I am jigging, trolling, targeting crappie with long casts, or shooting under docks at close range, the Wally Marshall ‘Original’ Classic Signature Series gives me the rod I need to put slabs in the boat,” Marshall said. They give me plenty of power, but I can still detect the softest strike.” The casting models of the Wally Marshall Classic Signature Series are a force to be reckoned with. Casting rods are available in lengths ranging from 5’6” to 12’0” with medium-light power and come with a Full Contact reel seat for direct sensitivity. The spinning, casting, jigging, and rear reel-seated jigging models all come equipped with the popular high-density, premium cork handles. The fifth rod of the line-up, the trolling model, features an EVA handle and foregrip. No matter your favorite crappie fishing technique or where you find the fish, Wally Marshall and Team Lew’s have a Wally Marshall Classic for you.
